  • 2 oz Simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 6-8 Fresh Mint Leaves (extra For Garnish)
  • Ice Cubes (crushed or Uncrushed)
  • Soda Water
  • Lime Slices (For Garnish)
Making a Mojito

  7. Step 1: Gather your ingredients

    Ensure you have all the ingredients and equipment ready: a cocktail shaker, a muddler or the back of a spoon, a glass, and a stirring rod or long spoon.

  8. Step 2: Muddle the mint and Simple Syrup
    1. Place the fresh mint leaves and simple syrup (click on the link to see how to make your own!) into the glass.
    2. Gently muddle (crush) the mint leaves and sugar together. This releases the mint's essential oils.

    Pro Tip: For an extra burst of flavor, you can slightly bruise the mint leaves with the muddler to release even more aroma before adding the other ingredients.

  9. Step 3: Add Lime juice

    Pour the freshly squeezed lime juice into the glass and stir briefly to combine with the simple syrup.

  10. Step 4: Add Rum and Ice into a Glass
    • Pour the white rum into the glass.
    • Add ice cubes to fill the glass about 2/3 full.

    2. If not using a shaker, stir the ingredients in the glass with a stirring rod or long spoon for about 20-30 seconds.
