  • 1 tbsp apricot jam
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup almonds (slivered or chopped)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • Bay leaves for garnish
Making Bobotie

  7. Step 1: Prepare the Bread Soak
    • Tear the slice of white bread into small pieces and place it in a bowl.
    • Pour 1 cup of milk over the bread pieces and let them soak while you prepare the other ingredients.

    • In a frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
